During the Round
- Gives Yardages to the Player, (distance to the front of green, to the flag, to the back of the green, carry yardages over traps and water, and layup yardages.)
- Tracks wind direction throughout round to help player adjust ball flight, shot shape and direction.
- Helps player to decide on appropriate clubs for each shot.
- Prepares for the tournament by checking yardage book accuracy, rolling balls on the green to identify brake, pacing green distances, identifying elevation changes, looking at the layout of the hole, learning where to miss, and preparing a game plan for each shot on the course.
- Practices Golf Etiquette during the round with their player and other players and caddies within their group.
- Records each shot during a round, the distance to the flag, the club, the wind, and how far it flew.
- Is a teammate to the Golfer- encourages the golfer, interacts with them when they are frustrated, calms them during stressful situations, keeps them loose and having fun. You learn your players personality and figure out ways to motivate them to play their best.
